There are three main sections of Savannah to shop: River Street, Broughton Street and the Design District. River Street has the typical tourist wares, while Broughton has jewelry, specialty shops and clothing stores ranging from funky consignment shops like Civvies to higher-end fashion at James Gunn. Two unique Broughton favorites are Savannah Bee Co. and The Salt Table. Both allow guests to taste samples, and the shelves of unique honeys, spices and seasonings are sure to please foodies of all levels.
With a city as old as Savannah, antiques are a given and the Design District is home to the bounty of antique shops that locals wish they could keep to themselves. Other gems can be found here as well such as E. Shaver Booksellers, several art galleries and shopSCAD—featuring artwork, clothing and more by Savannah College of Art & Design students, alumni and professors.
